Betadine belongs to a group of medicines called topical vaginal medications.

It is a vaginal antiseptic in the form of brown foam.

Therapeutic indications: Gynecological asepsis. Disinfection of the vulva, perineum, and inner thighs before childbirth. Women's intimate hygiene.

Use in obstetrics and gynecology:

After shaving the surgical field (wetting it with water if necessary), apply Betadine vaginal foam, rubbing it in gently for 5 minutes, until it foams. Then rinse with a little water and dry with a sterile towel.

Use for women's intimate hygiene: Pour the capful of Betadine vaginal foam into the hollow of your hand and apply with a little water. Then rinse and dry.

If you forget to use Betadine vaginal foam, you can continue using the medicine as if you had not forgotten.

Ingredients:

The active substance is povidone-iodine 4 g/100 ml (corresponding to 0.4 g of active iodine) 1 ml of solution contains 0.004 g of active iodine
