Betadine belongs to a group of medicines called antiseptics and disinfectants. It is an antiseptic in the form of a skin solution.
Therapeutic indications:
Asepsis of healthy skin before an invasive medical procedure.
Antiseptic agents are not sterilizing agents, they temporarily reduce the number of microorganisms.
Packaging with 10 single-dose units of 5ml.

This medicine is intended for external use.
The application of Alcoholic Dermal Betadine is done without dilution.
It's best to soak a sterile compress with about 5ml of the antiseptic and apply it to the skin for 10 seconds. Start from the injection or puncture site and work in circular, spiral motions. Let it dry; do not rinse with water.
Drying time is compatible with the antiseptic activity that is exerted in 30 seconds.
Surgical asepsis: preparation of the operating field:
Skin cleansing with Betadine Foam.
Remove foam with 10 ml of saline solution.
Dry with a sterile compress.
Cutaneous asepsis with 2 successive applications of 5% Alcoholic Dermal Betadine separated by a spontaneous withdrawal time of one minute in the air.
Ingredients:
The active ingredients are povidone-iodine and 96% ethanol. Each ml of cutaneous solution contains 50 mg of povidone-iodine and 0.72 ml of 96% ethanol.
The other ingredients are: glycerol 85%, macrogol lauric ether (9), purified water.
