Emoflon Rectal Ointment 25G

Emoflon is a rectal ointment based on sucralfate, to which plant extracts and lubricating agents are added, for the treatment of symptoms associated with hemorrhoidal disease and its complications (e.g., eczema, anal fissures). Sucralfate provides a triple action: it protects the anal mucosa, relieves itching and inflammation, and regenerates and heals wounds, also reducing the risk of fissures and lesions caused by defecation.

Recommended use: 

Emoflon should be placed on the periphery of the anus after defecation or a sitz bath, or inside the rectum (a small, pea-sized amount) using the applicator. Make sure the tube and applicator are screwed on correctly.

Emoflon® is a class IIa medical device, manufactured by Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC (CE2409):

• Read the Instructions for Use carefully before use;

• Emoflon® is intended for the treatment of symptoms associated with hemorrhoidal disease and its complications (e.g. eczema, fissures);

• Consult your pharmacist. Consult a doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 1-2 weeks;

• Do not use if you are hypersensitive to lanolin or other ingredients in this product.

Do not use on bleeding hemorrhoids;

• The use of Emoflon® rectal ointment is not contraindicated during pregnancy or lactation; however, in these cases, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Emoflon can be used for 4 weeks without interruption.

Sucralfate, cocoa butter, lanolin (vegetable), white petrolatum, white wax (beeswax), purified water, caprylyl glycol, calendula extract, chamomile extract, witch hazel leaf extract (Hamamelis virginiana).

Keep out of the sight and reach of children. The expiration date is indicated on the carton and tube. The expiration date and batch number are indicated on the fold of the tube. Do not use the ointment after the expiration date. The expiration date refers to the last day of the indicated month. Do not store Emoflon above 25°C. Keep away from sunlight.
