Gaviscon Strawberry Chewable Tablets belong to a group of medicines called “reflux suppressants”, which form a protective layer over the upper part of the stomach to prevent stomach acid from flowing up into the esophagus, where it causes pain and discomfort.

Gaviscon Strawberry Chewable Tablets are used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), such as acid regurgitation, heartburn (burning), and indigestion (related to reflux), which may occur for example after meals or during pregnancy and in patients with symptoms related to esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus).

Recommended use:

For oral administration. Chew thoroughly before swallowing.

Adults, including the elderly and children over 12 years of age: When you have symptoms, take two to four tablets after meals and at bedtime.

Children under 12 years of age: should only be taken under medical advice.

If you forget to take a dose, there is no need to double the dose for the next dose, just continue taking the following doses as before.

If you take more medication than you should, you may feel bloated. This is unlikely to cause any problems, but please consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not take this medicine if you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients, as difficulty breathing and skin rashes have very rarely occurred.

Ingredients:

Each chewable tablet contains 250 mg of sodium alginate, 133.5 mg of sodium bicarbonate, and 80 mg of calcium carbonate as active substances. The other ingredients are mannitol (E421), polyethylene glycol 20000, aspartame (E951), strawberry flavor (maltodextrin, modified starch E1450, vegetable oil, propylene glycol E1520), red iron oxide (E172), xylitol, carmellose sodium, and magnesium stearate.

This medicine does not contain sugar or gluten.
